Peskot ("we", "us", "our") operates the Peskot mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and password.
  • Waitlist data: If you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address.
  • Profile information: Any additional information you choose to add to your profile, such as a display name or avatar.
  • Chat messages: Messages you send through in-game chat (quick messages during gameplay and global chat) or customer support inquiries. Chat messages may be stored for moderation and safety purposes.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage data: Game statistics, session duration, features used, and interaction patterns.
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process in-game transactions and manage your credit balance
  • Match you with other players for games
  • Maintain leaderboards and rankings
  • Deliver in-game gifts and notifications
  • Send you launch notifications if you joined the waitlist
  • Communicate with you about updates, features, and promotions
  • Detect, prevent, and address cheating, fraud, and technical issues
  • Improve and optimize the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your personal data is:

  • Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide the Service, including account management and gameplay.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Other players: Your username, avatar, game statistics, and ranking are visible to other players.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services for hosting (Supabase), analytics, and push notifications that may process your data on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

6. International Data Transfers

We use Supabase for database hosting and authentication. Your data may be stored and processed in data centers located within the European Union or, in some cases, in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Waitlist emails are retained until launch notification is sent, after which you may request deletion. Game statistics and leaderboard data may be retained in anonymized form.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
